To find your most popular content, go to Behavior > Site Content > All Pages. Here, you’ll see a list of all the pages on your website, ranked by how many views they’ve received.

You can also use this data to understand which types of content are most popular on your site. For example, if you notice that blog posts tend to get more views than other types of pages, you may want to focus on creating more blog content in the future.

2. Understand how people find your website

Another important use for Google Analytics is understanding how people find your website. You can find this data under the Acquisition tab.

There are three main ways that people can find your website: through organic searches, direct traffic, or referrals.

Organic search traffic is when someone finds your website by typing a query into a search engine like Google or Bing. Direct traffic is when someone visits your website by typing your URL directly into their browser. And referral traffic is when someone clicks on a link from another website that leads to yours.

It’s important to understand the mix of traffic that your website receives so that you can focus your marketing efforts accordingly. For example, if you notice that a large percentage of your traffic comes from referrals, you may want to focus on building more backlinks to your site.

3. See which marketing campaigns are driving results

If you’re running any kind of marketing campaign (such as an email marketing campaign or a social media campaign), it’s helpful to track its performance in Google Analytics. This way, you can see which campaigns are driving results and adjust your strategy accordingly.

To track the performance of a marketing campaign, you’ll need to add parameters to the campaign’s URL. These parameters will tell Google Analytics which campaign the traffic came from.

For example, the following parameters each tell Google Analytics something different about web traffic:
